A Response To Anyone else having trouble logging into YouWager?

October 2, 2011 by mtneer1212
First of all, thanks for coming on here C.S. Even if the news is bad, and you take a ton of crap for it, hearing from a book representative restores faith in people. You do this well for YouWager, Alex from BetOnline, and Jon from BetIslands also do a good job with this.............

With that said, your question to me is an interesting one. If it were me, I think a healthy free play based on either account age or deposit history is probably a decent response. Don't make it something real small where it becomes... More...

A Response To Missouri +8 and Michigan +3.5 look too easy

September 9, 2011 by mtneer1212
You must have been watching a different Michigan than me...... I thought Michigan was helpless on defense, getting gashed at Western Michigan's will. Turnovers were the only difference.

Gus Johnson leaves CBS to join Fox.... no more March Madness

May 10, 2011 by mtneer1212
NEW YORK -- Popular announcer Gus Johnson is joining Fox as its top college football play-by-play voice.
Johnson had worked for CBS since 1995. He called NFL games but was best known for the way his excitable style fit the NCAA tournament.
Fox announced Tuesday that Johnson would team this season with analyst Charles Davis for Big 12, Conference USA and Pac-12 games on FX; a conference championship game; and the Cotton Bowl. Starting in 2012, they'll call games on Fox under its new deal with the Pac-12.
Johnson will work some Fox NFL games after the college football regular season is over. He'll continue to do college basketball for the Big Ten Network.
Johnson calls giving up March Madness "a very difficult thing."

Great news for West Virginia football fans!!!

December 14, 2010 by mtneer1212
The Bill Stewart era comes to an end in one year......... from CBS.......

First Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen was a leading candidate for the open position at Pittsburgh, then there were reports of discussions with West Virginia. Engaged in discussions with bitter rivals, and only one head coaching position available, there was little clarity to Holgorsen's situation. But according to the most recent reports from Morgantown, Bill Stewart does not have to worry about his coaching for his job like we may have thought.

The Charleston Gazette is reporting Tuesday that Holgorsen will... More...

Victoryland Owner Milton McGregor - Auburn's money connection to Newton?

November 18, 2010 by mtneer1212
The FBI investigation into the cash for Cam Newton scandal now involves a guy who gave more than $1 million to Auburn University ... and was recently arrested in a bribery sting.

According to sources connected to the probe ... FBI agents looking into the Newton recruiting controversy are also asking about Milton McGregor -- a dog track owner arrested last month for allegedly bribing Alabama politicians to vote pro gambling.

We're told agents asked someone connected to the Newton case if he was familiar with McGregor or the bribery scandal.

It's unclear what, if any, direct connection McGregor has to... More...

Friday, November 12, 2010
By Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
The Steelers have been informed by the National Football League that two penalties that almost cost them in Monday night's victory in Cincinnati should not have been called, the Post-Gazette has learned.
Coach Mike Tomlin sent a complaint to the league office earlier this week, challenging the roughing-the-passer penalty on nose tackle Casey Hampton and a pass interference penalty against cornerback Ike Taylor on back-to-back plays that allowed... More...

Confessions of an Agent -- excellent SI piece

October 12, 2010 by mtneer1212
This story appears in the October 18, 2010 issue of Sports Illustrated

I will never forget the first time I paid a player.
There are moments you will always remember, like your first kiss or your first home run or the day you met your wife. For me, the first time I broke an NCAA rule to try to land a client is just as indelible.
It was before the 1990 football season, and I flew from Los... More...
